Before we jump into Garage Band and iMovie, you need to thoroughly plan out what you what to do. So, your first step is to create a layout in Photoshop that is almost a "digital sketch" of your idea. Weather you chose a poem, an excerpt from a book or a song lyric, you will now begin to plan out additional sounds to add to your soundtrack for your 10-30 second animation. Essentially we are beginning our "story boarding" process.
You will have a week to work on this planning. So, first, jump into photoshop and start "sketching"
Below is an example of my "digital Sketch"

"...the proportions of reciprocal sharing, nature's own golden proportions, are built into our own nature, into our bodies and minds which are, after all, part of nature. The basic pattern-forming process of nature, which have shaped the human hand and mind, can continue to guide whatever the hand and mind are shaping, when the hand and mind set true to nature." -excerpt from The Power of Limits: Proportional Harmonies in Nature, Art & Architecture by Gyorgy Doczi.

- Jose Gonzalez "Let it Carry You"
- "...See the migrating birds pass by
Taking off to warmer skies
Hear them, singing out their song
Tune in, realize nothing's wrong when you
Long to loose the anchor
And dance a night away
Loosen built up tensions
Let it carry you away
And dissolve into the foam
Of things near, of things gone
To remind our restless souls
Of the beauty of being here at all
Let it carry you
Let it carry your weight
Let it carry you
Let it carry you away"

Recording
- A narrative of the inspiration- the passage from The Power of Limits
- Recording of Declan's noises
Imagery/ Text
- Portions of the book quote appear in the beginning & end of the animation
- Begin with the background image of the ocean working with transitioning over text
- overlapping image of Declan as the quote continues
- Triangles begin to overlap one at a time- drawing connections between the landscape & human form
