It is time to begin to experiment with photographing in the studio! You should think about this as working with a BLANK CANVAS. You have the ability to control the light. To control the mood and the overall message you are sending with your image. Now you need to really consider WHAT do you want to photograph. You can make simple objects look beautiful. You can transform your model or really bring your audiences attention to someone or something that they would never look at in a new way. We will begin working in the studio today, setting up the space and you will have a specific time slot assigned to you to shoot. You need to come to class ready to go on your shooting day. You will have a partner/ assistant assigned to you for when you photograph. You Need to photograph AT LEAST 100 pictures.
Your goal is to end up with 10 Final images that really transport your audience/ tell a story to your audience. The FIRST CRIT is on Friday February 26th. FINAL crit is Thursday March 3rd. For each person in the class choose the top 3-5 that you like and make note in the word doc. For each person, choose one image to choose as your favorite and write a paragraph about why you think this image works well and the role color take in the image.
