For the next 8 weeks you will be creating a multimedia project that will result in a 5 minute video. This project can consist of stop motion techniques, photoshopped imagery, unique sound track, video and any other techniques you have learned throughout this year. The first step to this process is deciding- what do you want to share? In today's class... you will spend some time researching and creating a proposal for your project. In this proposal I want you to share links to videos that you think are interesting and inspire your creative idea. These can be advertisements, youtube videos, music videos, documentaries, short films, etc. Will your project be documentary? Will it be fictional? Will it be abstract? What did you learn from your group project experience that will help you in your own work this term? Once you have come up with a concept. You will meet with Mrs. Graham for a one-on-one. INSPIRATIONAL HAPPENINGS TO LOOK FORWARD TO: *We will have a few days where I will either be screening a special film in class to help stir up your creativity* Monday April 18. Depart at 8:15 am Return by 11:30 am We will take a class field trip to see the following film at REAL ART WAYS gallery in Hartford! Inocente Official Trailer from Shine Global on Vimeo. Here is an example of some clips from an independent project students have done that may inspire your idea... "Three collaborative short films that I produced with a team of classmates in January will be playing at the annual Martha's Vineyard Film Festival on Sunday, March 20th! The shorts are made up of interviews conducted with Island locals, all of whom were amazing in their own unique ways. In post-production, I contributed to the editing of 3 "Vineyard Vignettes" which will be played alongside this year's feature films to give viewers a sense of what the Vineyard is like in the off-season."
